Ahh, I still need more practice. ^^;

:star: Hello everyone again~ :star:

I've been noticing that I haven't been able to colour well lately, so I decided to practice a little. And I came across this lovely lineart of a Chibi Ariel from *YamPuff. :3



Go give her some love too for sharing this adorable piece~ >U<

I really did like colouring this picture - it was a chance for me to try out other shading techniques which I've rarely attempted to use.

I've still got three other linearts I would like to finish, all with different styles.

This one was kind of a 'cell + gradient/airbrush' shading style. Sort of. :iconidontknowplz:

I have no idea what the others will be. :iconimsotiredplz:

Anyway, thank you for viewing! Comments, faves and critiques (obviously only on the colouring for this one :dummy:) appreciated!

Wh-wh.. what do you mean you didn't post my comment yesterday, deviantart? Oh well, at least it gives me the pleasure of looking at her again :3 hm well I said something like:

Waaah, she's so kawaii, onee-chan! I really like it! Ariel is so much prettier in your colouring than in disney's original ;) And do I spot the the texture that haneiy used? It does look good though, so that's fine by me. Makes me think that maybe I should do another mermaid and use the same texture, since it's worked so well for both of you, hehe c:

Hehe, but thank you very much, Niji-chan~ :iconrubcheeksplz: Although Disney's was an animation, and a rather aged one at that. I'm happy you like it though~ :iconnewglomp: And, actually, no. :3 I used a different texture than haneiy, but since water textures are basically all alike, I get why you thought so. But go for it! Draw an adorable mermaid~ I want to see~! :iconiwantitplz:

Actually, now that I think about it, it was right after I saw haneiy's drawing that I wanted to look up mermaid stuffs. Alice.... -_-;; XD
